University of Nizwa Announces ICCEET 2026: Engineering a Greener World

 

 

 

The College of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Nizwa has announced the launch of the first International Conference on Creative Engineering and Emerging Technologies (ICCEET 2026), scheduled to take place in April 2026 at the University of Nizwa, in a hybrid format allowing both in-person and virtual participation.

 

Held under the theme “Engineering a Greener World,” the conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers, industry professionals, and students from around the world to foster innovative and interdisciplinary research collaborations addressing contemporary environmental and technological challenges.

 

 

Dr. Rashid Al Abri, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture, emphasized the strategic importance of the conference, stating that “ICCEET 2026 represents a strategic platform that positions the College of Engineering and Architecture and the University of Nizwa as regional leaders in creative engineering, emerging technologies, and sustainability, in alignment with Oman Vision 2040. The conference reflects our commitment to fostering interdisciplinary research, nurturing young innovators, and translating advanced engineering solutions into practical pathways for a greener, more resilient future.”

 

ICCEET 2026 will feature keynote addresses by distinguished experts, specialized technical sessions, and interactive networking opportunities, providing a dynamic platform for the exchange of pioneering ideas and cutting-edge research across diverse engineering disciplines.

 

The conference will cover several thematic tracks, including Green Hydrogen and Net-Zero Systems, focusing on hydrogen technologies, smart grids, electrification, energy storage, and renewable energy integration; Environmental Innovation, addressing advanced water treatment, carbon dioxide capture, zero-waste engineering, and emission control technologies; and Sustainable Smart Cities and Infrastructure, highlighting adaptive urban planning, climate-resilient construction, and smart infrastructure solutions.

 

Additional tracks include Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Advances, emphasizing intelligent systems, artificial intelligence integration, automation, semiconductors, and embedded solutions, as well as Bio-innovations in Materials and Regenerative Engineering, covering biomaterials, sustainable bio-based materials, and biocompatible systems. In line with its commitment to nurturing future talent, the conference will also feature a dedicated Graduate and Undergraduate Research and Innovation Track, showcasing student-led projects, emerging technologies, and multidisciplinary research approaches.

 

Through ICCEET 2026, the University of Nizwa reaffirms its commitment to advancing research excellence, promoting sustainability, and strengthening international academic and industry collaboration, contributing to engineering solutions that support a greener and more resilient future at local, regional, and global levels.
