University of Nizwa and Royal Academy of Training Explore Strategic Partnership

 

 

 

 

 

The University of Nizwa and the Royal Academy of Training convened to discuss opportunities for collaboration in academic and institutional development. The meeting, chaired by Professor Ahmed bin Khalfan Al-Rawahi, Chancellor of the University of Nizwa, and Dr Abdulaziz bin Saeed Al-Raisi, Assistant President for Studies and Development at the Royal Academy, centred on strengthening partnerships and exploring shared possibilities.

 

During the meeting, both institutions shared insights into their experiences in academic education, research, and external partnerships. Discussions focused on developing joint specialised programmes, transforming the Royal Academy's Al-Idari journal into a peer-reviewed publication concentrating on management, and leveraging the University of Nizwa’s academic expertise to enhance the journal's profile.

 

Further proposals included establishing an administrative observatory to monitor global trends in management and their implications for the Sultanate, along with creating a digital platform to integrate and streamline the academy’s services for stakeholders.

 

The visiting delegation toured the University’s facilities, including research laboratories and innovation centres, and received a briefing on its achievements in research and development. These accomplishments include advancements in infrastructure and the establishment of research chairs and centres of excellence that contribute to Oman’s knowledge economy.

 

Representing the University of Nizwa were Dr. Waleed Al-Rajhi, Dean of Planning and Quality Management; Dr. Salem Al-Abri, Dean of the College of Economics, Management, and Information Systems; and Engineer Salem Al-Hinai, General Supervisor of the Lifelong Learning Institute. 

 

From the Royal Academy of Training, participants included Mr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Shaqsi, Director of Academic Affairs and International Cooperation, and Mr. Yaqoub bin Yousef Al-Balushi, Senior Specialist in Administrative Development.

 

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to advancing cooperation and establishing a strong foundation for mutually beneficial initiatives, reflecting both institutions’ dedication to promoting education and innovation in Oman.
