University of Malaya Delegation Explores Collaboration with University of Nizwa in Arabic Language and Research

 

 

 

 

 

A distinguished delegation from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, recently visited the University of Nizwa to explore collaborative opportunities in the fields of Arabic language education and research.

During their visit, the delegation held in-depth discussions with the Al-Khalil bin Ahmed Al-Farahidi Center, focusing on research publications and the potential for PhD and Master's students from the University of Malaya to be affiliated with the centre as researchers during their studies.

The delegation also engaged with officials from the DHAD Institute for Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages, where they were introduced to the various programs offered by the institute. Both sides discussed the possibility of a student exchange program aimed at teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

In addition, the delegation met with Mr. Masoud Al Hadidi, Head of the Arabic Section at the College of Arts and Sciences, to discuss further collaboration. Key topics included the involvement of external examiners from the University of Malaya to cooperate in the viva of postgraduate students at the University.

The visit concluded with a tour of the University of Nizwa, further strengthening the bonds between the two prestigious institutions.
