The University of Nizwa Highlights Achievements at Oman Science Festival 2024  

The University of Nizwa, through its Natural and Medical Sciences Research Center, successfully participated in the fourth edition of the Oman Science Festival 2024, held from November 4 to 11 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center under the theme “Our Sustainable Resources.” 

The centre’s booth in the Biodiversity Corner offered workshops and interactive experiments, showcasing its efforts in biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource use, and environmental preservation. The activities reflected the centre’s commitment to raising awareness and promoting sustainability through science.  

The festival, which hosted over 140 institutions and featured more than 520 scientific activities, aimed to inspire innovation and align with Oman Vision 2040’s emphasis on education, sustainability, and a knowledge-based economy.  

The University’s participation underscores its role in advancing scientific research and education, contributing to Oman’s goals of fostering innovation and sustainable development.
