The University of Nizwa Hosts Successful Engineering Final Year Project Symposium
Under the patronage of Prof Hussein Ali Al Abdulqader, Dean of the Deanship of Graduate Studies, the University of Nizwa hosted the 13th edition of its Engineering Final Year Project Symposium. The symposium, which explored the theme of Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship, was a resounding success, attracting an impressive submission of over 150 abstracts from prestigious national and Arabic regional universities.
The event provided a distinguished platform for students enrolled in diverse engineering majors to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of knowledge and experience. A total of 52 abstracts were selected for presentation, with 38 showcased virtually and through on-campus poster sessions. Only 9 were designated for presentation during the exclusive plenary sessions.
Engineer Saleh Issa Al Farai delivered a keynote address on Oman's vision in Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship, emphasizing the transformative role of Architecture Engineering in shaping our urban landscapes. He highlighted the significant impact of technological advancements in revolutionizing various industries.
The symposium also featured a poster exhibition showcasing the graduation projects of students from both national and regional universities, providing a platform for the dissemination of their project ideas.
Dr Rashid Said Al Abri, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture, expressed his delight at the success of the event, saying, "Today's symposium serves as a distinguished platform for students enrolled in diverse engineering majors to facilitate the exchange and dissemination of knowledge and experience.
