The University of Nizwa Hosts Benchmarking Meeting with the German University of Technology GUBridge

The University of Nizwa Foundation Institution recently held a benchmarking meeting with the German University of Technology GUBridge at its Birket Al Mouz campus. The meeting was attended by Dr Waleed Al Rajhi, the dean of planning and Quality Management at Nizwa University, foundation institute management, and administration and academic team of the foundation institution, along with the GUBridge head of Department, management members, administration, and academic team.

Dr Al Rajhi emphasized the importance of such benchmarking meetings, which provide institutions with the opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge with one another. The meeting focused on a variety of topics, including training and learning, graduates' attributes, entry and exit standards, student progression and retention, and the role of quality assurance from both universities' perspectives and regulations. This allowed both institutions to familiarize themselves with the similarities and differences in their approaches.

The coordinators from both universities also had an opportunity to have an in-depth session on their specialisations to exchange experiences in dealing with challenges and new techniques. The University of Nizwa strongly encourages such benchmarking meetings to further improve the quality of education and learning experiences for its students. 

Overall, the meeting was a great success and provided an excellent opportunity for both universities to learn from each other and improve the quality of education they provide.
