University of Nizwa meets with COMSTECH Delegation
The Chancellor of the University of Nizwa, Prof Ahmed Al Rawahi, recently received a distinguished delegation from the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities. The meeting was held at the University's initial campus, where the two entities discussed potential opportunities for collaboration. During the meeting, the University of Nizwa showcased a short video highlighting its academic programmes, initiatives, and achievements since its inception. The delegation expressed great interest in the information presented and commended the University for its dedication to excellence.
In turn, the University Chancellor explained the University's legal representation and connection to the rich history of Nizwa City. Prof. Al Rawahi said “Nizwa, a city of rich history and culture, has been the birthplace of the greatest scientists, leaders, and community figures of all time. Its soil is fertile for science and knowledge, making it the perfect ground for the establishment of the University of Nizwa. Today, the University carries on the historical spirit of the city and continues to produce exceptional individuals who are making an impact across the country”.
The chancellor discussed the virtual exchange courses that the University has had with Nebraska University over the past few years. He encouraged in his talk to have more virtual programs with international universities. The chancellor also mentioned the University's exchange program with various universities and expressed the desire to have students from the Islamic Network organization universities.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged souvenirs and expressed a strong desire to establish mutually beneficial partnerships that would enhance the quality of education and research in the region.
