The University of Nizwa recently held its 12th edition of the partnership program, under the patronage of Engineer Mohsen Zahran Al Hinai, Director General of Al Rusayl Industrial City. The accompanying exhibition saw participation from 32 private and government institutions from various sectors. This year's program witnessed the signing of 13 Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) between different service providers and businesses, aimed at strengthening the partnership between the University and the work environment.
The participating institutions aimed to educate students about the essentials and requirements of applying for a job from the perspective of the work environment stakeholders. This was done to help the students keep pace with the changes, enhance their position, and create competitive opportunities to market themselves in a way that guarantees them a better job position. The exhibition showcased the various services, programs, training requirements, and employment procedures offered by these institutions.
The Partnership program also highlighted the efforts and achievements of the Career Guidance and Alumni Communication Center in establishing sustainable professional relations with the work environment. As the program enters its twelfth edition, it serves as a positive example of constructive and fruitful cooperation between the university and the labour market across various sectors.
The partnership program aims to deepen the relationship between the educational and economic sectors, in response to the requirements of the modern era. It serves as a contribution to promoting sustainable development, innovation, research and development, and enhancing community partnership.
