University of Nizwa Hosts Delegation from Parliamentary Friendship Group with Russian Federation and Omani State Council

The University of Nizwa hosted a delegation from the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Russian Federation and representatives of the Omani State Council. Dr Abdullah Al Ghaphri, Chair holder of the UNESCO Chair of Aflaj Studies-Archaeohydrology, received the delegation. 

Dr Al Ghphri gave a presentation on Aflaj, in which he explained the relationship between Aflaj and the Omani heritage, culture, and history. The presentation also introduced the UNESCO Chair staff and faculties, the Chair's achievements, and the total number of scientific research publications. The delegation showed interest in the presentation and asked questions related to the topic.

Later, the delegation met with Prof. Ahmed Al Rawahi, the University Chancellor, who briefed them on the University's achievements and the progress of its new campus.
