Three students from the College of Arts and Sciences attended the Third Gulf International Conference on "Digital Transformation and Contemporary Social Issues" from September 24-26, 2023 at Dhofar University.

Intisar Rashid Al-Kalbaniyah, who is pursuing a Master’s in Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Warqiya Mahmoud Al-Balushi, who is studying for a Bachelor’s in Special Education, and Mishaal Ahmed Al-Balushi, who is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Education, represented the College at the conference.

During the conference, the students presented a research paper titled "The Impact of Digital Transformation on the Quality of Master's Theses in the Social and Human Sciences". In the paper, they explored how digital transformation affects daily life, and how it can be harnessed to improve and develop the process of conducting research and collecting data in the fields of social sciences and humanities.

They also discussed the challenges that researchers in these areas face in light of digital transformation. It is worth noting that the research paper was part of a project funded by the Competency-Based Institutional Funding Program in the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation in the Sultanate of Oman.
