The University of Nizwa sends three students to the Arab Republic of Egypt to participate in a Preparing Leaders for Sustainable Development training programme under the supervision of the Leadership Development Institute in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education Research and Innovation. The programme was held at the British University in Egypt.

The four-day training programme aimed to equip youth with the skills and knowledge to become influential in the community through the programme workshops and lectures. The program started with an opening session followed by two lectures titled Student Life and Sustainable Development in the Post-Covid-19 World, and The Egyptian Museum and Egypt’s Cultural History. Monday's schedule included a lecture on “Tolerance and Coexistence among Nations and Rejecting Extremism and Terrorism,” followed by evening entertainment activities for the participants and supervisors.

On Tuesday, the students attended a workshop on the topic: "The Role of Sustainable Development in the Renaissance of the Arab World," followed by a lecture entitled: "Egyptian National Security and its Connection to Arab National Security".  The training program ended with a visit to the pyramids area and the Museum of Civilization.

The University is committed to broadening students' perspectives and promoting human empowerment and sustainability through national and international interaction.
