The Fourth Alumni Gathering: Let’s Meet
The Fourth Alumni Gathering was held at the University's initial campus, Al Hazam Hall, under the patronage of University Chancellor Prof. Ahmed Al Rawahi. The Center for Career Counseling and Alumni hosts the annual Alumni Gathering. The fourth gathering is the first after the pandemic, with over 100 alumni in attendance. This year's gathering focused on the University's long-term development, from the first batch to the last.
Such occasions help the University maintain constant contact with its graduates, "The gathering is a tool of communication with our graduates to understand the challenges faced and needs required in the work market," said Laila Al Rahbi, a career counseling specialist.
All University graduates from various batches came together for a fun-filled evening filled with memories, giving the new graduates from the later batches the chance to learn about the various challenges the earlier batches faced when the University was just getting started.
The evening event included a number of activities, beginning with the presentation of a video resembling the gathering concept and remembering the graduates of the hard work they did during their study years and the determination they had, followed by an opening play, honoring the graduates who maintained consistent base communication with the Career Counseling and Alumni Center, a group photo of all graduates with the University Chancellor, and finally a tour of the Exhibition.
The exhibition featured 15 booths, each representing a batch. Each booth represents the University's growth from the first batch to the fifteenth batch. Each booth's graduates represented their class. Mrs. Al Rahbi said of the exhibition, "The exhibition reflects the main theme of the gathering, which is the University's development sustainability." The majority of the booths were represented by University employees who are graduates from various batches."
At the conclusion of the exhibition tour, the University Chancellor addressed the graduates, saying, "We are delighted to meet you again at your University, your presence brought old and good memories of the University's establishment and growth" and "We urge you to keep constant communication with the University as your growth and communication is the University's growth."
