The Student Advisory Council has launched the "Anees" platform, a groundbreaking initiative designed to transform student interactions with their university community. This innovative platform aims to enhance communication and foster a more collaborative environment between students and the administration.
A key feature of the "Anees" platform is its secure, centralized space for students to submit complaints and suggestions. Addressing all academic and service-related issues, the platform streamlines the process for students to voice their concerns, thereby significantly improving various aspects of university life.
The platform facilitates efficient communication between students and university administration, enabling students to express their needs and address concerns directly. This streamlined approach is intended to resolve issues more effectively and identify appropriate solutions.
The "Anees" platform excels in organizing and categorizing student submissions. By sorting inputs into relevant areas, it allows the Student Advisory Council to focus on pressing issues with greater efficiency. Submissions are categorized into several committees:
- Academic Committee
- Services Committee
- Initiatives and Activities Committee
Wajdan Al Harrasi, Vice-President of the Student Advisory Council, explained to Ishraqah, “The concept for 'Anees' originated from the need for a unified approach to student council interactions. Previous councils utilised varying methods, leading to confusion among students. Council 13 relied on personal visits and paper registrations, while Council 14 adopted a Google Forms-like link and eliminated in-office visits. Council 15 sought to standardize the process and align it with the Cultural Week’s theme, resulting in the creation of 'Anees.'”
Al Harrasi added, “Students can access the 'Anees' platform via the university's official systems portal, select the 'Anees' icon, and log in. They can then choose the type of complaint or request and direct it to one of three committees: Academic, Services, or Activities and Initiatives. There is also an option to contact the President or Vice President if needed. This streamlined process ensures that students can efficiently address their concerns.”
The "Anees" platform marks a significant advancement in creating a more inclusive and responsive university environment. By prioritising collaboration and student involvement, it represents a substantial step forward in enhancing the academic experience for all students.
