University of Nizwa Hosted the International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence Applications (ISAA 2026)
The College of Economics, Management and Information Systems at the University of Nizwa successfully hosted the International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence Applications (ISAA 2026) on 1–2 April 2026 at its main campus in Birkit Al Mouz, Sultanate of Oman. The conference was organized by the Department of Information Systems in collaboration with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) Ibri, HSE University, and Fudan University.
ISAA 2026 served as an international academic platform that brought together researchers, scholars, industry professionals, and postgraduate students in the fields of artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, and data-driven technologies. The conference addressed both theoretical and applied dimensions of these fields, fostering interdisciplinary exchange and strengthening international academic collaboration.
The event was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participation both on-site and virtually, which enabled broad engagement from academic and research institutions across different regions worldwide.
All accepted and presented papers from the conference were submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore, ensuring international visibility and academic impact. Selected papers are also being considered for extended publication in indexed international journals following standard peer-review procedures.
The successful hosting of ISAA 2026 reflects the University of Nizwa’s continued commitment to research excellence, innovation, and international academic engagement. The conference contributed to strengthening Oman’s position as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and digital transformation research, while promoting knowledge exchange and fostering collaboration between academia and industry in addressing contemporary technological challenges.
