University of Nizwa Sends 12 Pharmacy Students to Malaysia for Specialized Training
The University of Nizwa has sent 12 students from the School of Pharmacy, College of Health Sciences, to Malaysia for a specialized training program in collaboration with IKOP Pharma at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The program runs from 6 to 19 July 2025.
Organized by the University’s Office of External Relations, the training is part of a series of international placements designed to enhance students’ practical skills and exposure to global experiences, while strengthening academic cooperation with leading international institutions.
The program, equivalent to two credit hours, focuses on professional skill development through hands-on training in critical areas, including pharmaceutical production techniques, analysis and testing, product formulation, quality systems oversight, regulatory affairs, and product distribution.
This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to providing multidimensional learning environments that integrate theory with practice, preparing graduates with the competence and readiness to thrive in both local and international markets.
