University of Nizwa Delegation Attends Global Digital Forum in Russia
A delegation from the University of Nizwa participated in the Global Digital Forum, held in Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Federation, from June 5 to 6, 2025.
The university was represented by Ms. Abrar bint Mohammed Al Alawi, a faculty member from the College of Economics, Management, and Information Systems, along with two students from the same college: Kawthar bint Khamis Al-Qurainiya and Weam bint Zaid Al-Riyami.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. It brought together international participants from government institutions, private-sector IT companies, academic and scientific communities, and regional organizations.
The forum aimed to foster dialogue on global digital development and innovation, while providing a platform for sharing best practices and exploring technological advancements. Participants attended high-level sessions, engaged in networking activities, and visited an exhibition showcasing IT achievements from both Russia and abroad.
The University of Nizwa’s participation reflects its broader commitment to global engagement and digital innovation. The experience also provided students with valuable exposure to international developments in digital policy and technology.
